Mahabaleshwar
Mahabaleshwar is a hill station in Maharashtra's Satara district, located in the Western Ghats. Mahabaleshwar is noted for its various rivers, spectacular cas cades, and breathtaking peaks, in addition to its strawberries. It is one of the most popular weekend getaways from Pune and Mumbai, and is roughly 120 kilometres south of Pune and 285 kilometres from Mumbai. Mahabaleshwar is also a Hindu pilgrimage site since it is where the Krishna river begins. Mahabaleshwar, once the British summer capital, is a hill station with old temples, boarding schools, groomed and lush green thick forest, waterfalls, hills, and valleys. It's frequently used as a base for visiting the spectacular Pratapgad Fort, which is about an hour distant.
